HoneyEdge · Network Early Warning System

Protect
your hive.

Detect intrusion before real devices are reached.

HoneyEdge acts like a watchful bee at the entrance of your network. When attackers probe, scan, or guess their way in, HoneyEdge records the activity and alerts you.

Ethernet plug-and-protect   ·   USB-only updates by default   ·   Cloud or standalone alerts

Early warning. Real protection.

A convincing decoy that reveals suspicious activity.

Legitimate users never need to interact with HoneyEdge. A direct connection, login attempt, or scan becomes a high-confidence signal that something may be exploring your network.

Detect

Find scans, probes, login attempts, and suspicious decoy interactions.

!

Alert

Receive instant notifications through HoneyEdge Cloud, Telegram, or email.

Protect

Get early knowledge so you can isolate or investigate a suspicious device sooner.

Privacy first

No monitoring of your browsing history or unrelated personal network traffic.

HoneyEdge Ethernet network intrusion detection device

Simple to deploy

Plug in. Detect early. Stay secure.

Connect HoneyEdge to Ethernet, select a built-in decoy profile, and choose where alerts should be delivered. No local server is required.

✓ Convincing decoy profiles
Smart-home hub, camera, printer, legacy IoT gateway, and passive tripwire.

✓ Immediate incident recording
The first connection is logged before the fake service replies.

✓ Cloud or standalone operation
Use HoneyEdge Cloud, company syslog, Telegram, email, or webhook alerts.

Built for security

Secure by default, not by promise.

HoneyEdge minimizes its remote attack surface. Firmware updates are performed over USB by default, and the cloud cannot silently enable OTA updates or replace trusted certificates.

USB-only updates

Remote firmware updates are disabled in the default build.

Locked local controls

Server URL, CA trust, and update policy require local USB access.

Unique device identity

Each device receives its own revocable credential after one-time enrollment.

Minimal data collection

Records only decoy interactions and the metadata needed to investigate them.

How it works

From silent probe to clear warning.

01

An unknown device probes

A compromised or unauthorized device begins scanning the local network.

02

HoneyEdge records it

The decoy captures the source, service, timing, and interaction details immediately.

03

You receive an alert

A concise notification explains the source, severity, and recommended next action.

Perfect for

Security for networks without a security team.

Home networks

Protect your family, NAS, cameras, and smart devices.

Small businesses

Early threat detection without enterprise complexity.

Coworking spaces

Know when something starts exploring a shared network.

Homelabs & enthusiasts

Add a lightweight, visible, and useful security layer.

A small bee today can prevent a big problem tomorrow.

FAQ

Clear answers, no fear marketing.

Does HoneyEdge inspect all of my network traffic?

No. HoneyEdge primarily detects direct interaction with its decoy services. It does not monitor your browsing history or act as a full packet-inspection system.

Does it block an attacker automatically?

No. HoneyEdge provides an early warning and useful evidence. You decide whether to isolate, investigate, or block the source device.

Is a cloud account required?

No. Minimal mode can send Telegram, email, or webhook alerts directly. HoneyEdge Cloud adds account management, device status, dashboards, and centralized configuration.

Can the cloud enable firmware updates remotely?

No. OTA is disabled in the default build, and cloud configuration cannot override the USB-only firmware policy.

Who is HoneyEdge for?

It is designed for homes, small offices, coworking spaces, labs, and early AIoT security pilots that need a simple, understandable intrusion warning system.
